FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, however, we ask that the behind the scene footage is at least 45 min long and is in HD Format 16.9 and emailed (info.behindtheset.net) or mailed to PO Box, 834 Hagerstown MD 21742. We do request that your talent files out our online release form (www.behindtheset.net/forms).
Sadly, at this present time we do not accept footage from cell phones.
One method is to become a member with Fairfax Public Access, so you may become certified in the equipment that we use. However, not all positions will require an FPA membership. If you are interested in volunteering, please keep an eye out on our Facebook Page for volunteer positions. We do request that all volunteers fill out our online release form before helping with the show in case you are caught by the camera operator or need to ask the talent a question.
Even though we air in Fairfax, VA we request that your project is less then two hours from Hagerstown, MD otherwise special requirements will need to be made with the producer of Behind The Set by sending an email to info@behindtheset.net
Unfortunately, we only film a limited amount of special events and film behind the scenes of a projects. We do not air your project only behind the scenes.
Behind The Set is associated with Fairfax Public Access, once the video footage is collected the footage goes into post-production and is submitted to Fairfax Public Access. However, there are many other episodes before your show and sometimes if the footage is bad, we may not air the collected footage. However, sometimes we may come back to re film the footage. There have been other occasions where we may rearrange the episodes, to suite the needs of other producers or to collect more footage by pushing other episodes forward. There is no confirmed deadline on when the footage is going to air until it has been submitted to FPA.
Once the footage is submitted to Fairfax Public Access we will not go back to edit the show. If you are talent and will like to view the show before it is submitted to FPA, to see if it reaches your satisfaction, then you will need to contact the producer. However, you will not be able to download the show. We try to catch "real people," so if their is an accident or a blooper and we catch the accident or blooper it is up to the producer/editor to use that footage.
We request that your music is in .mp4 format in 256kbs with

To be submitted to behindtheset.tv@gmail.com with permission to air, allowing copyrights.
However, your music may or may not be aired based on the Video Editor's decision to fit the music with the right theme of the television show. If the music is heard on television, you will be given credit.
